Background-

The Armah Sports Co. noted an increase of 62% in net profit in the previous year, to reach SR62 million, which highlighted high demand for personal training services and more strength in its membership base

The figures reflect that the income rose faster than expenses. The revenue rose by 27% to SR224.9 million. Membership revenue and subscription revenue grew by 24%, partnering expanded member base and maturing clubs. Additional revenue from other fitness centre services also contributed to the strong results.

Experts say the company’s performance reflects broader trends in Saudi Arabia’s fitness sector. Ahmed Attallah, manager at FIBO Arabia, said the market is undergoing “structural expansion rather than cyclical growth.” He noted the industry grew from SR3.4 billion in 2017 to SR7.7 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach SR15.5 billion by 2030. Growth is supported by regulatory reforms, rising female participation, and private-sector investment aligned with Vision 2030.

Compared to the mature market, the premium services are still developing as the boutique gyms and digitally upgraded fitness formats are capturing the younger crowd, which signifies a need for further growth.

The company is planning to launch their branches in new cities across Saudi Arabia this year, to meet the rising demand for fitness centres. They are also looking forward to digital space expansion, serving digital fitness programs and apps for tech-savvy members.
