Background
Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) and Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS) have given ANRA Technologies the contract to design and set up the Emirate’s new unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM) platform. The project will create one of the world’s most modern digital systems to manage drones, covering the Dubai Control Traffic Area (CTA).
The ANRA platform of UTM in the United States is already a globally validated product at the centre of the plan. The system will help Dubai to authorize flights, track airspace, eliminate conflicts, and work with drone operators and other partners.
The platform will combine radar, weather, NOTAMs, and live drone tracking into a single visual display. It will also offer tools for flight approval, airspace management, conflict detection, and emergency response. The system is built to grow in the future, with the ability to support counter-drone tools, advanced data analysis, and urban air mobility (UAM).
The project will be rolled out step by step, starting with early features and adding more with time. ANRA will also open an office in Dubai to give long-term support.
“This project is a major step for safe and smooth drone operations,” said H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, executive chairman of DAEP. H.E. Ibrahim Ahli, CEO of DANS, said the system will put Dubai at the forefront of aviation innovation while keeping safety as the top priority.
ANRA CEO Amit Ganjoo said the project sets a global standard. “By combining Dubai’s vision with our technology, we are building a model for the Middle East and beyond,” he said.
This partnership highlights Dubai’s ambition to lead the digital transformation of aviation by building one of the most advanced drone traffic management systems in the world.
