Background

Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has partnered with Cisco to power its new smart headquarters in Riyadh. The office is located in the Diplomatic Quarter and supports QIC’s work as the developer of Qiddiya City, a major Saudi project focused on entertainment, sports, and culture. The company said the workplace is designed to improve employee experience and attract top talent.

The headquarters uses Cisco’s networking, collaboration, and IoT solutions to create a human-focused office. QIC installed devices such as Room Bars and Desk Pros to help employees collaborate in one-to-one and group settings. Open work areas include breakout zones, meeting rooms, relaxation spaces, and a dedicated social hub.

Cisco Webex Boards have been placed in the lobby and boardroom to guide visitors and support presentations or brainstorming sessions. Employees and visitors can also use room booking services powered by Cisco Spaces. Indoor navigation tools help users locate meeting rooms and facilities quickly and efficiently.

Office infrastructure is powered by Cisco Wi-Fi 7 and Catalyst switches, which ensure high speed and a stable connection. Air sensors and smart cameras track the work environment continuously for security, health, and proper space utilization. QIC said the new headquarters has been operational since February.

Company officials said the project reflects Qiddiya City’s wider vision of combining creativity with efficiency. Cisco stated that the partnership goes beyond technology installation and aims to define the future workplace. The company added that the digital-first office was built to help teams connect easily, innovate faster, and work more effectively in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
