Background
One year on from restarting Damascus flights, Jazeera Airways is adding a fourth daily service. The change takes effect July 14, 2026. The move comes on the back of steady demand from leisure travellers and those visiting friends and family.
The Kuwaiti low-cost carrier has now flown over 90,000 passengers between Kuwait and Syria since the route returned in July 2025. Damascus remains among the airline’s busiest destinations, supported by a large and active travel market.
The expanded schedule, combined with three weekly flights to Aleppo, strengthens connectivity and gives passengers greater flexibility along with seamless onward connections across Jazeera Airways’ growing regional network.
Paul Carroll, Chief Commercial Officer at Jazeera Airways, said the airline takes pride in having welcomed more than 90,000 passengers on the Damascus route over the past year, calling it a clear sign of the route’s importance to the communities it serves.
Carroll said the strong customer response reflects the close ties between Kuwait and Syria and growing demand for reliable, affordable travel. He added that increasing to four daily flights, alongside three weekly services to Aleppo, gives passengers greater flexibility, more choice and improved convenience whether they are travelling to visit family and friends, for business, or for leisure.
Carroll said Jazeera Airways remains committed to strengthening connectivity and delivering value-driven travel experiences across its network.
