The milestone follows successful evaluation of Ericsson’s AI-native Scheduler for Link Adaptation solution on Zain Bahrain’s live network. The system helps the network to make better decisions based on changes in demand and usage of the system. The achievement also supports Zain Group’s wider strategy of using technology to enhance digital experiences and enable stronger connectivity.
Ali Isa Al Yaham, Chief Technology Officer at Zain Bahrain, said innovation remained central to the company’s work, and that becoming the first regional operator to deploy and validate AI in a live radio network marked a major step toward building future-ready networks.
